Port day questions
Where do cruise passengers meet the tour?
At the EDC parking lot, a 5 to 10 minute walk from your ship depending on which pier you are docked at. Download the walking map on our meeting point page before you leave the ship.
What time should I be at the meeting point?
For the shared tour, be at the EDC parking lot by 9:20 AM; it departs at 9:30 AM. For the private tour, meet us at the start time you booked: 9:00, 10:00 or 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM.
Will we be back at the ship on time?
Yes. We plan the day backwards from your all-aboard time, and our island tours come with an on-time port return guarantee.
How much time do I need in port?
Both island tours take 5 to 6 hours. With less time in port, book the private tour and pick three or four must-see stops; we plan it around your all-aboard time. See all shore excursions.
What should I bring on a port day?
Your ship card and photo ID, our number (+1 721-550-5213), sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat, some US dollars in cash, and swimwear and a towel if you want a beach stop.
How far is Philipsburg from the cruise port?
About a 15-minute walk, or a short water taxi ride across Great Bay. Read our Philipsburg guide.

What will we see on the island tour?

The private tour's sample route covers Philipsburg, Maho Beach, the Border Monument, Marigot and Fort Louis, Grand Case and Orient Bay, and you can swap any stop.
Do the tours visit both the Dutch and French sides?
Yes. Both tours cross the border and cover Dutch Sint Maarten and French Saint-Martin. Read what's different on each side.
Do I need a passport to visit the French side?
No. There is no border control between the two sides. Cruise guests still need their ship card and photo ID to get back on board.
Are the tours good for families with kids?
Yes. On the private tour we stop for snacks, swims and breaks whenever the kids need them; tell us the kids' ages when you book. The shared tour is an easy, affordable way for families to see the whole island in one day.
Can you help guests with limited mobility?
Tell us about any mobility needs in the special requests box when you book. On the private tour we plan short walks and easy stops around you.
